How it works

  1. Enter the job: property, host, date, time in and out, and the next check-in.
  2. Add each room and take before and after photos, straight from the camera or your photo library.
  3. Tick the quick checklist, note what you restocked and log any damage with a photo.
  4. Sign with your finger and tap Create PDF.
  5. Tap Share PDF to text or email it to the host.

Drafts save on your phone as you go, so a phone call won't wipe your work.

Privacy

Your photos never leave your phone. The app runs entirely in your browser: nothing you type or photograph is uploaded to CleanScout or anyone else. The page itself is counted by Cloudflare's cookie-free Web Analytics, like the rest of our site; it never sees your photos or report. Drafts and photos are stored only in your phone's browser until you tap Start new report.

Why hosts like it

Picky hosts want proof the place was left their way. A dated photo report settles "it wasn't clean" disputes and shows damage was there before the next guest arrived. Every PDF has a small "Made with CleanScout" line at the bottom.

FAQ

Is it really free?

Yes. There's no signup, no account and no payment. Open the app in your phone's browser and start a report.

Where do my photos go?

Nowhere. The app runs entirely in your browser. Photos are resized on your phone and kept only in that browser's storage until you start a new report. Nothing you type or photograph is uploaded to CleanScout or anyone else. Like the rest of our site, the page counts visits with Cloudflare's cookie-free Web Analytics, which sees the page address but never your photos or report.

How do I send the report to the host?

Tap Create PDF, then Share PDF to text or email it from your phone's share sheet. Where sharing isn't supported, use Download PDF and attach the file yourself.

Does it work offline?

Once the app has loaded over the internet, it can keep working without a signal, which helps in basements and rural rentals. You can also add it to your home screen.

What do the photo times mean?

If your phone camera saved the time inside the photo, the report shows "photo taken" with that time. If not, it shows "added" with the time you added the photo. Times are what the phone saved; the report doesn't claim to be tamper-proof.

What's in the PDF?

Job details (property, host, date, time in and out, cleaners, next check-in), before and after photos room by room with notes, the checklist, restocked items, any issues or damage with photos, and your signature.

Can I use my own checklist?

The app has a quick built-in checklist and room notes. For a full room-by-room list, use our Airbnb cleaning checklist template alongside it.

The kitchen, bathroom and bedroom before and after photos in the sample report, screenshots and demo are AI-generated by CleanScout. Each pair shows the same made-up room; it is not a real property or a real job. Their photo dates were set to made-up times on Oct 17, 2026, so the sample shows realistic "photo taken" times. The one damage photo comes from Wikimedia Commons (CC0; no attribution required, but we credit it). It was downscaled and its photo date changed the same way.
