Airbnb cleaning checklist template for cleaners
A room-by-room list you can copy into a spreadsheet, print, or load into a photo-checklist app. Pair it with a per-host house standards sheet so each property's quirks are written down once.
How to use this list
- Copy the sections below into your own checklist. Strike items that do not apply (no hot tub, no dishwasher).
- Add the host's must-photo spots and "never do" rules from their house standards.
- Photograph damage before you clean, then photo-proof the finished rooms.

Before you start
- Confirm checkout time and next check-in.
- Photograph any existing damage or mess beyond a normal stay.
- Note leftover guest items for the host.
Kitchen
- Counters, sink, faucet and handles wiped.
- Stovetop, microwave (inside), fridge exterior; check dishwasher seal if present.
- Empty trash and recycling; replace liners.
- Restock: dish soap, sponge, trash bags, coffee/tea supplies per host pars.
Bathrooms
- Toilet (inside and out), shower/tub walls and door, sink, mirror streak-free.
- Floors mopped; hair cleared from drains where accessible.
- Fresh towels placed the way the host specified; restock TP, soap, shampoo per pars.
Bedrooms
- Strip beds; remake with clean linens to the host's fold/tuck standard.
- Surfaces dusted; floors vacuumed or mopped.
- Closets/drawers quick check for guest leftovers.
Living areas & entry
- Wipe high-touch surfaces (remotes, switches, door handles).
- Vacuum floors and under cushions if the host requires it.
- Reset furniture and decor to the listing photos when the host asks.
Laundry & linen
- Start or swap loads if on-site laundry is part of the job; or bag soiled linen for pickup.
- Count sets against the property par if you handle linen inventory.
Final walkthrough
- Wide photo of every room plus the host's must-photo list.
- Lights, thermostat and locks set per host instructions.
- Text or app update to the host: done, with photo link or attach.
